ASME
ASME helps the global engineering community develop solutions to real world challenges. ASHRAE

ASPE
The American Society of Plumbing Engineers (ASPE) is the international organization for professionals skilled in the design, specification and inspection of plumbing systems. ASPE is dedicated to the advancement of the science of plumbing engineering, to the professional growth and advancement of its members and the health, welfare and safety of the public.
BICSI
BICSI is a professional association supporting the information transport systems (ITS) industry. ITS covers the spectrum of voice, data, electronic safety & security, and audio & video technologies. It encompasses the design, integration and installation of pathways, spaces, fiber- and copper-based distribution systems, wireless-based systems and infrastructure that supports the transportation of information and associated signaling between and among communications and information gathering devices.
BICSI provides information, education and knowledge assessment for individuals and companies in the ITS industry. We serve more than 23,000 ITS professionals, including designers, installers and technicians. These individuals provide the fundamental infrastructure for telecommunications, audio/video, life safety and automation systems. Through courses, conferences, publications and professional registration programs, BICSI staff and volunteers assist ITS professionals in delivering critical products and services, and offer opportunities for continual improvement and enhanced professional stature.
DABUG
The Detroit Area BIM User Group discusses & demonstrates the following programs: Revit Architecture, Revit MEP, Revit Structure, AutoCAD Architecture, AutoCAD MEP, Navisworks, and any other technology related to Building Information Modeling.
Energy Star
ENERGY STAR is a joint program of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the U.S. Department of Energy helping us all save money and protect the environment through energy efficient products and practices.

EPA provides an innovative energy performance rating system which businesses have already used for more than 80,000 buildings across the country. EPA also recognizes top performing buildings with the ENERGY STAR.
ESD
Founded in 1895, ESD is a multi-disciplinary society uniting engineering, scientific and allied professions to enhance professional development and foster excitement in math and science to produce our next generation of leaders. Serving this generation of engineers and fostering the next.
ICC
The International Code Council, a membership association dedicated to building safety and fire prevention, develops the codes used to construct residential and commercial buildings, including homes and schools. Most U.S. cities, counties and states that adopt codes choose the International Codes developed by the International Code Council.
IEEE
A non-profit organization, IEEE is the world's leading professional association for the advancement of technology.
Through its global membership, IEEE is a leading authority on areas ranging from aerospace systems, computers and telecommunications to biomedical engineering, electric power and consumer electronics among others.
Members rely on IEEE as a source of technical and professional information, resources and services.
The IEEE name was originally an acronym for the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, Inc. Today, the organization's scope of interest has expanded into so many related fields, that it is simply referred to by the letters I-E-E-E (pronounced Eye-triple-E).
IES
The Illuminating Engineering Society of North America (IES) is the recognized technical authority on illumination. For over 100 years; its objective has been to communicate information on all aspects of good lighting practice to its members, to the lighting community, and to consumers, through a variety of programs, publications, and services.
IES is a forum for the exchange of ideas and information, and a vehicle for its members' professional development and recognition. Through technical committees, with hundreds of qualified individuals from the lighting and user communities, IES correlates research, investigations, and discussions to guide lighting professionals and lay persons via consensus-based lighting recommendations.
The Society publishes nearly 100 varied technical publications, and works cooperatively with related organizations on a variety of programs and in the production of jointly published documents and standards.
IFMA
The International facility Management Association is the world’s largest and most widely recognized international association for professional facility managers, supporting more than 19,500 members in 60 countries. The association’s members, represented in 125 chapters and 15 councils worldwide, manage more than 37 billion square feet of property and annually purchase more than US$100 billion in products and services. Formed in 1980, IFMA certifies facility managers, conducts research, provides educational programs, recognizes facility management degree and certificate programs and produces World Workplace, the world’s largest facility management conference and exposition.
MSPE
MSPE gives Professional Engineers the resources they need to advance their careers and their profession.
Programs such as MATHCOUNTS, Engineer's Week and MSPE scholarships help enhance the profession's public image and educate the public on the wide variety of engineering disciplines.
MSPE is your grassroots organization for aggressively monitoring, communicating and acting on legislation that effects the Professional Engineer.
MSPE also conducts training to prepare engineer for licensing exams and organizes conferences to keep members up-to-date on the latest developments in the field of engineering.
NCARB
The Mission of the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards is protecting the health, safety, and welfare of the public through effective regulation and exemplary service.
As the facilitator for the protection of the health, safety, and welfare of the public, the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards:
* Requires a NAAB accredited degree, successful completion of the Intern Development Program (IDP) and successful completion of the Architect Registration Examination (ARE).
* Protects and enhances the validity of professional architectural education and, the Intern Development Program (IDP) and the Architect Registration Examination (ARE).
* Encourages all architects to become Certificate holders.
* Advocates for the elimination of impediments to reciprocity.
* Serves as the trusted international center of registration data and regulatory information.
* Values diversity of opinion and representation.
* Promotes recognition of the architect as the primary building professional qualified to protect the health, safety and welfare of the public, through the enhancement of the quality of the built environment and the richness of space and form.
DSD is currently registered in numerous states and NCARB allows DSD to be quickly registered in any state (with the exception of Massachusetts and California) where we are not registered already.
NCEES
The National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES) is a national non-profit organization composed of engineering and surveying licensing boards representing all states and U.S. territories. NCEES develops, scores, and administers the examinations used for engineering and surveying licensure throughout the United States. NCEES also provides services facilitating professional mobility for licensed engineers and surveyors. NCEES is an accredited standards developer with the American National Standards Institute (ANSI).
NFPA
The mission of the international nonprofit NFPA, established in 1896, is to reduce the worldwide burden of fire and other hazards on the quality of life by providing and advocating consensus codes and standards, research, training, and education.
The world's leading advocate of fire prevention and an authoritative source on public safety, NFPA develops, publishes, and disseminates more than 300 consensus codes and standards intended to minimize the possibility and effects of fire and other risks.
NFPA membership totals more than 81,000 individuals around the world and more than 80 national trade and professional organizations.
SMPS
The Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS) is a community of marketing and business development professionals working to secure profitable business relationships for their A/E/C companies. USGBC
The U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) is a 501 c3 non-profit organization committed to a prosperous and sustainable future for our nation through cost-efficient and energy-saving green buildings..
With a community comprising 78 local affiliates, more than 20,000 member companies and organizations, and more than 100,000 LEED Accredited Professionals, USGBC is the driving force of an industry that is projected to soar to $60 billion by 2010.
