Infrastructure Upgrade

DSD performed an upgrade to the site utilities at the Rouge Center, home to five Ford Motor Company manufacturing facilities and seven plants.

The project involved replacing the existing utility infrastructure with a new 13.8 kV electrical distribution system, fire protection systems, city water lines, compressed air, natural gas, communications systems, chilled water piping and the central steam/condensate distribution system. DSD designed a 5-mile, above grade trestle to carry the new utility lines around the Center.
