Vacant Plant Converted to Assembly Line

DSD provided services to General Motors for converting 100,000 SF of vacant plant floor into a modern chassis assembly line. The conversion required renovation of the building workspaces, mechanical systems, lighting, and power. The project included replacing six existing rooftop air-handling units, providing a new cooling tower and a welder water system for robotic welding. DSD designed a 3,000-gallon per minute closed loop water system to pump cooling water through the robotic welding arms.
