Electrical Arc Flash Engineer

Need of a full time Electrical Engineer experienced in Short Circuit and Arc Flash Studies in industrial buildings. EDSA/Paladin DesignBase and/or ETAP experience is preferred. Five years minimum experience, however ten years is preferred. Licensed engineer (PE) preferable but will consider others. Pay is proportional to experience. Responsibilities:

  • Expected to conduct and/or provide oversight for Arc Flash studies of varying size and complexity

  • Conduct short-circuit protective device coordination and arc-flash studies

  • Collaborate and communicate across multi-discipline and multi-company/consultant project teams

  • Work on multiple projects simultaneously with the ability to meet deadlines

  • Assist project managers with model presentation and client meetings

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE)

  • 5 years of relevant experience as an electrical engineer in the A/E industry

  • Proficient in short circuit and arc flash hazard analysis, and protective device coordination, utilizing ETAP and/or EDSA/Paladin DesignBase

  • Professional Engineering Licensure in the State of Michigan preferred

  • Willing to work extended and flexible hours as required to complete assignments

  • Physically capable of traveling to and from project sites for field observations, project meetings, and visual acuity to perform responsibilities in poor lighting and difficult environments

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong organizational skills
